Class meets from 9am to 11am every Saturday. The class is reading "Día domingo", a classic short story by Mario Vargas Llosa. We previously read "Travesuras de la niña mala" by Nobel prize-winning author Mario Vargas Llosa, one of the 100 notable books of 2007 according to the New York Times and we also read an abridged version of "El ruido de las cosas al caer", one of the 100 notable books of 2013 according to The New York Times and the 80th best book of this decade according to The Oyster Review. The adaptation was written by Felipe Garces, the teacher in this class, who has a B.A. in Spanish with Honors from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia.
